River Patrol
Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper patrols and monitors the Lower Susquehanna Watershed via patrol boat and canoe. Without constant and routine patrol, sources of pollution will be left undetected leading to degradation of water quality at its source and downstream.
Given our vast territory, the Riverkeeper needs your help! If you happen to see anything out of the ordinary, PLEASE REPORT IT!
About the River Patrol Program
Our Rivers and tributaries remain threatened by unsolicited sources of pollution and those waterways must always be monitored.
Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper patrols and monitors the Lower Susquehanna Watershed via patrol boat and canoe. Without constant and routine patrol, sources of pollution will be left undetected leading to degradation of water quality at its source and downstream.
Our communities rely on clean water to survive so without constant patrolling, monitoring and sampling our communities will be at risk for water quality infractions that go unnoticed.
Patrolling the River and our tributaries for pollution is our organization’s duty and we make sure polluters who are discharging harmful pollutants that may interfere with one’s ability to fish, recreate, swim or drink that water are held accountable.
