In 2022, we launched this new program which involves sampling and analyzing microplastics found in tributaries of the Susquehanna River. These plastics, an alarming and growing problem impacting the health of freshwater/marine life and these ecosystems, carry far downstream, even affecting the Chesapeake Bay, and the ocean beyond.
