As we head into a new year, our future is uncertain. We are facing a critical funding shortage, but with your support, that can change.
The RIVER ROCKS CAMPAIGN honors rocks of all sizes, layered together, each working to carve a channel where life abounds and the Susquehanna River thrives.
Every gift — is a rock in that foundation. Each donation strengthens the river, sustains our work, and ensures the Susquehanna flows clean, vibrant, and alive for generations to come.

We are the voice of the river. Our advocacy work includes education about the issues, monitoring polluters, and insisting on compliance with the law.
Have fun and support a good cause by participating in our signature events, whether on or off the river: the Dam Bridge Challenge, the Ripple Effect Soiree, or one of our partner events.
Join one of our volunteer programs! We organize the Great Plastics Purge, river cleanup days, bacteria monitoring, and more. Your participation helps support our mission for a swimmable, drinkable and fishable Susquehanna River.
What We Do
We monitor and patrol over 8500 square miles, throughout the lower Susquehanna watershed.
In May 2024, 700 middle and high school students experience the river on our field trip educational program.
Since 2009 LSRA and its volunteers have removed over 230 tons of plastic tires and trash from our waterways.
In 2023 our supporters took action on our advocacy alerts to send 3,460 email messages
In a typical year our riverkeepers and volunteers collected over 400 water samples from different areas of our territory to analyze for a wide range of pollutants.
Since 2017 LSRA has been a plaintiff in 9 legal cases and has secured over $2,000,000 in penalties from polluters.
